A page where "𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼" appears in the body won't rank for the word "hello." The same applies to screen readers — some announce "MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL H" rather than "H." Use styled Unicode for decorative, non-critical copy only.
The strikethrough style applies Unicode combining character U+0336 (combining long stroke overlay) to each letter. Because it is a real Unicode character rather than CSS styling, it pastes into social media bios, Discord messages, Reddit comments, and anywhere plain text is accepted — the strikethrough appears as part of the text itself, not as formatting that might be stripped on paste.
