The tool works on any Unicode input — letters, words, whole sentences. Even a single character produces Zalgo output once intensity is above zero.
Low adds two or three marks per character for a subtle, eerie effect. Medium is the classic Zalgo look most people recognize. High stacks the maximum number of marks and causes visible overflow into surrounding lines — deliberately chaotic.

Zalgo text is regular text with Unicode combining diacritical marks stacked above and below each character, creating a glitchy or corrupted appearance. It works in any standard text field without special software.
Yes. Zalgo text is made of standard Unicode characters and pastes anywhere text is accepted. Some platforms may limit certain combining marks, so the result can vary slightly between apps.
The slider controls how many combining marks are added per character. Low (1–3) adds a few marks for a subtle glitch. High (8–10) stacks dozens of marks for an extreme, nearly unreadable corrupted look.
Zalgo text is perfectly safe — it's just Unicode. Very high-intensity Zalgo in older apps can cause minor display lag, so use extreme settings sparingly in professional contexts.
Each combining mark is a real Unicode code point, so a five-letter word at maximum intensity can contain 50–100 extra characters stacked on those five base letters. Platforms that count code points toward their character limit — Twitter's 280, for example — count every mark separately. A heavily corrupted Zalgo string may hit the limit far sooner than its visible length suggests, even if it looks like only a few words on screen.
Set the intensity first using the slider or the Low / Medium / High presets — low keeps marks subtle with the text still legible, high stacks enough combining characters that the output bleeds into surrounding lines.
