A truth or dare generator solves the common problem that kills the start of every game night: nobody can think of good questions, and the dares fall flat. Instead of drawing from the same five questions everyone already knows, you get a fresh set of truths and dares in one click — filtered to exactly the group you're playing with.
This generator covers six categories: Family (clean, all ages), Kids (age-appropriate for under 13), Teens (13–17), Adults (18+), Couples (relationship-focused), and Spicy (bold prompts for adults who want a wilder round). You can also filter by type — Truth only, Dare only, or Both — so the game flows exactly the way you want it.
How It Works
Choose a Category that matches your group — Family and Kids are the safest starting points; Adults, Couples, and Spicy are designed for 18+ groups.
Pick a Type — Both gives you a mix of truths and dares, Truth only is great for getting-to-know-you sessions, and Dare only keeps the energy high for active groups.
Set the count to how many prompts you want per round (1–20).
Click Generate Truth or Dare. The tool tracks what's been shown and avoids repeats within your session.
Use Hide Cards so each player can reveal their own prompt without the group seeing it first. Click a blurred card to unblur it.
Tips for a Better Game
Set the category before you start — agree on Kids, Family, or Adults before the first round so everyone is comfortable with the content level from the start.
Use Hide Cards for the most authentic experience — each player reveals their own card and decides whether to answer or complete the dare before others see it.
Use Truth-only for icebreakers — at a party where people don't know each other well, truth questions get conversations going faster than dares.
Save your favourites — if a prompt sparks a great conversation, save it and come back to it later. The saved tray keeps your picks across multiple generate rounds.
Stick to one rule — if someone declines a truth or dare, agree upfront on the penalty (take a drink, lose a turn, do a mini dare). Consistent rules keep the game fun.
Mix categories on 'All' for long group sessions — unpredictable variety keeps the game interesting when you've been playing for a while.

Truth or Dare FAQs
What is the best category for a family game night?
Use the Family category for mixed-age groups that include adults and children. It contains clean truths about embarrassing memories, fears, and funny habits, plus active dares like impressions, dance moves, and phone calls — all appropriate for any age. For groups that include only children under 13, the Kids category is even more tailored with simpler questions and gentler dares.
Is there a truth or dare generator for couples?
Yes. Set Category to Couples for prompts focused on relationships: first impressions, favourite memories, compliments you rarely give, and dares you do together — like slow dancing, writing poems, or recreating your first date. The Couples category works well for date nights, anniversary dinners, and getting-to-know-each-other activities.
What's in the Spicy category?
Spicy prompts are bold and adult-oriented — embarrassing dating stories, risky text dares, confessions about past relationships, and high-stakes social media challenges — but they're not explicit. It's designed for adults who want a more adventurous game than the standard Family or Adults category offers. All Spicy content is intended for 18+ players.
Can I use Truth only or Dare only mode?
Yes. Use the Type selector at the top of the controls panel to switch between Both, Truth, and Dare. Truth-only works well as an icebreaker or when you have a group that prefers conversation to physical challenges. Dare-only is good for high-energy situations like birthday parties or team events where you want everyone up and moving.
How many prompts should I generate per round?
For most groups, generating 5 prompts per round works well — one per player in a group of five, or enough variety to go around a smaller group twice. For large groups, generate 8–10. Generate 1 at a time if you want each player to hit the button for their own prompt for a more spontaneous feel.
What happens if I've seen all the prompts?
The generator tracks all prompts you've seen in the current session and avoids showing them again until the pool is exhausted. Once you've seen everything, it resets automatically. You can also manually click Reset Repeats to start fresh at any time without changing your category or type settings.
Can I print the cards?
Yes. Click Print Cards to open the browser print dialog. Navigation, controls, and ads are hidden in print view so you get a clean two-column card layout. Cut the cards out for a fully offline game where phones aren't needed.
Who Uses the Truth or Dare Generator?
Party hosts
Generate a round before guests arrive and save your favourite prompts. Use Hide Cards mode so guests reveal their own card without the group seeing it — keeps the energy high and the surprises coming.
Families on game night
Set Category to Family or Kids to get age-appropriate prompts that work from grandparents to grandchildren. The Family category is the most versatile starting point for mixed-age groups.
Couples
Use the Couples category on date nights to spark conversations you haven't had yet — first impressions, relationship goals, and dares you do together. Works well for long drives, dinner dates, or slow evenings at home.
Teen sleepovers & parties
Set Category to Teens for prompts that hit the right level — school embarrassments, crush reveals, and social media dares that feel current without crossing the line into adult territory.
